Where does Alfalfa grow in Minnesota?
Alfalfa is produced in large fields throughout most of Minnesota, but majority of the production takes place in a strip from the northwest region to the southeast region. The central region produces most and the southeast region comes in second place. These two regions create almost 50% of the total alfalfa production in Minnesota. Stearns County and Otter Tail County are the leading counties in producing this crop. |
